JAMMU, Mar 17: An interactive talk has been organized by Directorate of Distance Education in Jammu University organized an interactive talk by Prof R K Mahajan, Professor of Economics, Punjabi University, Regional Centre, Bhatinda.
Prof Mahajan delivered a lecture on the topic “Socio-Economic Philosophy of Swami Vivekananda” and deliberated on three aspects of the Swami’s philosophy. He said that there should be a blend between Western materialism and spiritualism. He stressed upon the importance of education and the necessity of giving women a just place in the society.
Prof V D Singh, Director, DDE presented a welcome address while Dr Anupama Vohra, Coordinator PG English gave introduction of the speaker. Dr Hina Abrol, Coordinator, BA part II presented vote of thanks. Dr Neharica Subhash conducted the programme.
