Samba, May 15: In order to take stock of arrangements for ensuing Annual Congregation at Baba Chamlayal Shrine to be held in the last week of June, the Deputy Commissioner Samba ,R.K Varma today visited Baba Chamlayal Shrine.
During the visit , DDC convened a preliminary meeting of local committee managing the affairs of the shrine and officers from the District Administration to take stock of the preparations for the forth coming Mela.
He also assessed the arrangements of Water Supply, Power Supply, Health Facilities etc. required for the Mela and advised the Committee members to arrange all the requisite facilities for the pilgrims visiting the shrine during the Mela.
He further asked the committee members to ensure the face-lifting of the entire complex of shrine and also for making necessary arrangements of sanitation.
He also enjoined upon the concerned officers to provide full cooperation to the committee members to make the event a grand success.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Bikram Jamwal, Assistant Commissioner Revenue , Ashwani Khajuria, Head Quarter Assistant Abdul Khabir, Tehsildar Vijaypur, Naib Tehsildar Ramgarh, besides Committee members attended the meeting.
Later, the DDC Samba also reviewed the pace of construction of school buildings under SSA and RMSA in a meeting which was attended by Chief Education Officer, Executive Engineer, PWD(R&B) Samba and all the Zonal Education Officers.
