REASI, APRIL 07: The District Development Commissioner Reasi Kumar Abhishek, today chaired a meeting to review the progress of solarisation of Government buildings and installation of smart meters in the district.
The DDC took a detailed review of rooftop solar installations on Government offices and institutions. He directed the concerned departments to expedite the pace and ensure timely completion of all solarisation projects. He emphasized to cover all identified Government buildings under the initiative in a phased manner, while maintaining prescribed quality standards and strict adherence to technical specifications.
“The initiative is intended to reduce dependence on conventional energy sources, promote the adoption of clean and renewable energy and optimize electricity expenditure of Government establishments,” the DDC emphasized.
Reviewing the status of smart meter installation, the DDC instructed the executing agencies to expedite the installation and ensure seamless functioning of meters across the district. He also took note of the technical and logistical challenges being faced during implementation and directed the concerned officers to resolve bottlenecks promptly through effective inter-departmental coordination.
Later, the DDC chaired another meeting to review the physical and financial progress of developmental works being executed under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) in the district.
At the outset, Chief Planning Officer Narinder Kumar apprised the chair of the status of ongoing works, including the construction of roads, span bridges, motorable bridges and other key infrastructure projects.
The meeting was attended by Superintending Engineers of PWD and PMGSY, Executive Engineers, and other concerned officers.
