JAMMU, Nov 24: Senior BJP leader and District Development Council (DDC) Member Pandit Suresh Sharma inaugurated a new 63 KVA transformer in Chang village of Gangal Panchayat of Block Chowki Choura.
Installed at a cost of Rs 9 lakh, the transformer fulfills a long-pending demand of the villagers who had been struggling with low-voltage issues for many years.
During public grievance interactions, residents had highlighted the need for a stable and adequate power supply in the village. Responding seriously to their concern, Suresh Sharma assured them of a prompt solution and ensured the timely installation of the transformer.
Addressing the gathering, Sharma reaffirmed that people’s needs and genuine demands guide all development works in the region. He noted that in recent years, several villages across Maira Mandrian and Chowki Choura blocks have benefited from new transformers and improved power infrastructure.
He further assured that villages still facing similar issues will also be addressed soon so that no area is left behind. Villagers urged him to continue working with the same dedication for the development of the area.
Those present on the occasion included Rakesh Sharma, Ram Gopal, Gushu Ram, Shiv Ram, Titru Ram, Somi Lal, Harbans Lal, Babu Ram, Bodh Raj, and other residents.
