DDC holds meeting on PFMS; asks officers to get registered

UDHAMPUR: District Development Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar, today convened a meeting with bankers and district officers on implementation of Public Financial Management System (PFMS).

During the meeting, the DDC stressed upon the district officers to register themselves on online portal of PFMS besides ensuring implementation of the system in their respective offices. He said that the system would enable an online MIS tracking mechanism for various implementing agencies at different levels. ‘The PFMS would help in establishing an efficient fund flow system as well as a Payment -cum- accounting system by serving as a platform for payments, accounting, funds transfer and DBT’, he added.

Terming Government e-Market (GeM) portal  as a dynamic, self sustaining and user friendly tool, the DDC  informed the DDOs that the portal can be utilized for making direct online purchases. He added that the system would ensure transparency in the system.

Earlier, DIO NIC Anil Kumar gave a power point presentation regarding the system and elaborated its benefits.
