JAMMU, Nov 29: The Housing and Urban Development Department today appointed Deputy Commissioners and Additional District Development Commissioners (ADDCs) as Administrators of the Municipal Councils and Municipal Committees of their districts for a period of six months or until establishment of the Municipalities, whichever is earlier.
An order to this effect was issued today by Prashant Goyal, Principal Secretary, Housing & Urban Development Department.
For 17 Municipal Councils in the UT, the Deputy Commissioners of the concerned districts have been designated as the Administrators.
For the Municipal Committees, the Additional DDCs will be the Administrators.
The order has been issued for a total of 71 Municipal Councils and Committees which have completed their terms.
