DCC pays tributes to Dogra

KATHUA, Nov 27:  District Congress Committee Kathua paid rich tributes to former Finance Minister and veteran Congress leader Late Girdhari Lal Dogra on his 29th death anniversary in a function held at Hiranagar today.
Former Member Legislative Council Subash Chander Gupta along with other party leaders and workers paid floral tributes to Late Dogra who served the people of this State as Legislator, Minister  and Member Parliament.
A large number of people were present next to his statue situated at Hiranagar  to pay homage to the veteran Congress leader known for his honesty, simplicity and dedication for his service especially to the poor and downtrodden.
Mr Gupta while paying tributes to Late  Dogra recalled his contribution  for the development of the State. He particularly highlighted his humbleness and dedicated services towards the poor and deprived section of the society. Mr Gupta said that Late Dogra was the leader of the masses and always felt pleasure in solving the genuine problems of the common public.
“We are proud of that such a charismatic leader was born here at village Bhaiya Mela of Hiranagar”, he added.
Gupta further added that politicians like Mr Dogra were very few in number today and we should take inspiration from his good deeds. It is because of these qualities that people always remember and respect him.
Prominent among those present on the occasion includes Yugal Kishore Bali, Anant Ram Dogra, Des Raj Sarpanch, Ram Krishan Sharma, Ashok Kumar, Yash Pal Singh Mintu,  Narinder Rathore, Neeta Sharma, BS Jasrotia, Mool Raj,Hans Raj, Ajeet Kumar, and Subash Kumar.
