According to an official order issued by the DC Office, Abhay Manhas, NSQ (Girdawar) DC Office Jammu, and Fateh Ali, Patwari Halqa Bain Bajalta, have been placed under suspension for inserting remarks in an acquaintance roll without proper procedure, inquiry, or official directions.
The order stated that the changes not only altered the essence of the record but also reflected an unprofessional and callous approach to official duties.
“The conduct was found to be serious and unbecoming of a Government employee,” the order said.
“As such, it has been ordered that both the officials will remain attached to the office of the Additional District Development Commissioner, Jammu, during the suspension period,” the order further said.
Meanwhile, Additional District Magistrate Rakesh Kumar has been appointed as Inquiry Officer to probe the matter and submit a detailed report with recommendations within seven days.
