SRINAGAR, Dec 24: To assess the progress achieved in installation of Solar Rooftops under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana across the district, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, who is also the Chairman Monitoring and Management Committee of the scheme, today chaired a review meeting at Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex.
Besides, Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar, Executive Engineers of KPDCL, Lead District Manager (Banks), the meeting was attended by KPDCL Engineers and empanelled scheme vendors who presented team wise appraisal of the ongoing installation works and the current status of implementation under the centrally sponsored scheme.
At the outset, the DC took a detailed assessment of division-wise and team-wise performance, focusing on targets achieved, applications received, and installations completed across all four Electric Divisions of Srinagar.
On the occasion, he stressed the concerned and stakeholders to reach all the eligible households in a time bound manner so that consumers can avail the benefits of the scheme and directed all stakeholders to ensure greater public awareness, faster banking facilitation and timely installation of solar rooftops so that benefits reach the beneficiaries without delay.
Earlier, the DC was informed that more than 3,000 solar rooftops have been installed in the district so far under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
