POONCH, Sept 4: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Ashok Kumar Sharma reviewed the functioning of the health department at a meeting held here at the DC office. The meeting was attended by ADDC Pankaj Mangotra; Chief Medical Officer Dr. Parvaiz Ahmed Khan and other officers from the department.
The CMO gave a detailed presentation on the functioning of the health department, available facilities, ambulance services including 108, and the healthcare schemes being implemented in the district such as RBSK, JSY, JSSK. He also shared details regarding staff position in the District Hospital and all health blocks, along with the status of OPD and IPD services.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the need to further strengthen healthcare facilities for the general public and directed the department to ensure timely ambulance services and effective implementation of all government health schemes. He emphasized organizing medical camps in far-flung and flood-affected areas to provide doorstep health services to the people.
The meeting was also attended by Chief Planning Officer Poonch, Medical Superintendent District Hospital Poonch, Dy. CMO, DTO, DIO, Block Medical Officers of Mendhar, Mandi, Surankote, DPMU and BPMU officials.
