DC reviews functioning of Revenue Department, emphasizes timely service delivery

REASI, Nov 10: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Nidhi Malik today chaired a comprehensive review meeting at the DC Office Complex to assess the functioning of the Revenue Department and streamline revenue-related service delivery in the district.
Detailed discussions were held on key issues, including the Digitisation of Jamabandis, adherence to Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA) in delivery of services, Revenue Court Cases Monitoring System (RCCMS), RDA and Section 27 cases etc. The Deputy Commissioner underscored the importance of enhancing efficiency, transparency and accountability in all revenue services.
While reviewing the implementation of the Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA) in delivery of services, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Tehsildars to ensure time-bound disposal of applications through the JK Revenue Portal and Service Plus Portal. She stressed that every service must be delivered within the prescribed timelines to enhance public satisfaction and avoid penalties for delays.
Reviewing the Revenue Court Cases Monitoring System (RCCMS), the DC instructed officers to expedite the disposal of pending cases and ensure regular and accurate up-dation of diaries on the portal.
The meeting also reviewed the progress of RDA and Section 27 cases, with the DC issuing clear directions to the concerned officers to fast-track the resolution of the same. She emphasized close monitoring of all pending cases under different categories to strengthen governance at the grassroots level.
Discussions were also held on the digitization of Jamabandis, geo-referencing of cadastral maps and other crucial components for modernizing land records and ensuring transparency in revenue administration.
DC Nidhi Malik further called for expediting redressal of public grievances received through JK SAMADHAN and encouraged officers to raise public awareness about the platform for effective grievances management.
The meeting was attended by ADC Rakesh Kumar; ACR Nitin Verma, Tehsildar Reasi and Tehsildar Bhomag in person, while SDM Katra, SDM Dharmari, SDM Mahore and other Tehsildars participated virtually.
