JAMMU, June 30: Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Simrandeep Singh convened a meeting with concerned officers and representatives of various organizations to review the arrangements for Eid-ul-Fitr celebration here today.
The participants apprised the DC of their demands related to adequate supply of food items, fruit, vegetables, mutton and chicken.
They requested the administration to ensure adequate drinking water and power supply, sanitation, traffic management etc during the celebrations.
Responding to the demands, the DC said that food stores in the district would be inspected to ensure adequate food supply to the consumers. On the issue of sanitation, JMC officials were directed to ensure proper cleanliness and sanitation of the city.
He further directed all the departments to work in coordination to ensure requisite facilities provided to the devotees during the festival days.
Among others, ACG Sachin Dev Singh, Administrator, Auqaf Islamia, Jammu, Wasim Raja, Member Masjid Committee and other senior officers were also present.
