DC Reasi takes stock of people’s issues at Thakrakote

REASI, Aug 11: As part of ongoing Public Outreach Programme, Deputy Commissioner Reasi Charandeep Singh today visited Thakrakote and listened to public grievances.
DDC Chairperson, BDC Chairperson, Sarpanches and Panches, besides senior officers of the district administration and development departments were also present at the camp.
At the outset, the DC interacted with the PRIs and locals and listened to their grievances. He directed the concerned officers to ensure timely redress of genuine issues.
The PRIs and  public putforth their demands seeking improved road connectivity, Fish Pond development at Thanpal, Solar lights installation, mining related issues, low voltage issues, up gradation of Jal Shakti and power infrastructure, delay in tendering of JJM Projects, BPL cards availability, clearing of pending liabilities under MGNREGA, development of water bodies, demand of Cable car from Thanpal to Tatapani  including issues related to NHPC.
After listening to public grievances, the DC addressed all the important issues raised by public and motivated locals to avail the benefits of various government schemes meant for their socio-economic development.
While reviewing the development of the fishing pond at Thanpal, the DC directed the concerned authorities to complete the said project in a stipulated time frame. Hea also took stock of the development of tube well scheme and the concerned authorities apprised that the work will be completed in a stipulated time frame.
Responding to the road issues, the DC directed the PWD department to repair Dhyangarh to Dhran road by fixing potholes and also directed for timely completion of school building at Sailanjan.
Responding to the issues related to NHPC, the DC directed the concerned authority to meet its commitments and responsibilities under CSR and expedite payment of pending land compensation including up-gradation of Talwara to Thanpal road along with the submission of detailed report.
Regarding pending MGNREGA liabilities, the DC informed that a committee has been constituted in this regard and directed the RDD department to submit   the details within 15 days.
For the demand of solar lights, the  DC directed the concerned authorities to submit the Requisition for projection to the concerned department for early installation of the same.
