REASI, Apr 9: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Kumar Abhishek, who also serves as Vice Chairman of the Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board, today chaired a meeting at Ransoo to listen to the issues and demands of the locals.
During the meeting, local representatives put forth several demands seeking strengthening of both the economic prospects of residents and the overall management of the pilgrimage. They sought a fresh survey under the Ransoo Town Plan, extension in the duration of the Shri Shiv Khori Yatra and provision of a dedicated space in Ransoo Market for local vendors to sell traditional food items.
Additionally, the representatives called for a revision of rates for Palki, Pithu and Pony service providers, fresh tendering of Shrine Board shops along the track and arrangements for live telecast of Aarti to enhance the national visibility of the pilgrimage.
The Deputy Commissioner attentively heard the demands projected by the representatives and assured them that appropriate action would be taken in a time-bound manner.
Responding to the Ransoo Town Plan and the issue of incomplete documentation, the Deputy Commissioner informed that special camps shall be organized to facilitate the stakeholders in completing the requisite documentation process in a timely and efficient manner.
MLA Reasi Kuldeep Raj Dubey, SSP Mukund Tibrewal, ADC Rakesh Kumar, Tehsildar Pouni and other officers were present at the meeting.
