RAMBAN, Jan 8: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan today chaired a review meeting to assess the progress and effectiveness of Mission YUVA in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner conducted an in-depth review of the Mission’s key components, including capacity-building initiatives, progress of the Beyond Sanction Campaign, coverage under Lakhpati Didi initiative, enterprise mentorship and the status of loan cases pending with banks for disbursement. The review focused on identifying operational gaps and strengthening the delivery mechanism to achieve optimal outcomes.
Emphasizing a result-oriented and coordinated approach, the DC directed the stakeholder departments to intensify beneficiary facilitation, ensure effective hand holding and strengthen field-level engagement so that approvals are translated into sustainable entrepreneurial ventures.
The banks were asked to remove procedural bottlenecks without delay and clear the pendency within a period of one week.
The DC further directed officers to utilize the services of YUVA DOOTs to facilitate targeted beneficiaries in availing the benefits.
The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC); Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) of Banihal, Gool and Ramsoo; Cluster Head J&K Bank; General Manager, DIC; District Nodal Officer (DNO) JKEDI; Assistant Director Employment; J&K Bank Branch Managers; Career Counselling Officer (CCO; the Principal Government Polytechnic College Chanderkote; Superintendent ITI; District Project Manager (DPM) NRLM and members of the Small Business Development Unit (SBDU) and Business Help Desk (BHD) staff.
