DC Ramban holds public outreach programme

RAMBAN, Aug 6: As part of the ongoing public outreach initiative of District Administration, Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, today conducted a public outreach programme at Block Gandhri to directly listen to the grievances of the locals and ensure timely redressal of their issues at the grassroots level. During the interaction, several delegations and individuals raised various issues related to healthcare, road connectivity, veterinary services, ration supply, power infrastructure, education, tourism and youth development. Responding promptly, the Deputy Commissioner issued on-spot directions to the concerned officers to resolve the grievances efficiently.
To augment healthcare services, the DC instructed the Chief Medical Officer to deploy a Mobile Health Facility for Gandhri once in a week and ensure availability of an ambulance at PHC Bhatni as early as possible to cater to emergency medical needs.
In response to the demand for a new ration depot, the AD FCS&CA was directed to ensure ration supply at identified nearest locations for the convenience of the public. The Deputy Commissioner also directed the PMGSY Department to carry out immediate maintenance work on the Kanga-Gandhri road. Regarding educational concerns, he assured the public that the matter regarding the filling of the vacant posts of Lecturer and Masters would be taken up with the concerned authorities.
Furthermore, the Chief Agriculture Officer was instructed to ensure timely availability of seeds for the farming community, the Executive Engineer JPDCL was directed to complete the installation of electric poles to strengthen the power infrastructure in the area.
