RAMBAN, Aug 4: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, conducted a surprise visit to PALAASH, the Child Care Institution for Boys at Maitra.
During his inspection at PALAASH, a Mission Vatsalya initiative under the Department of Social Welfare, the Deputy Commissioner interacted directly with the boys residing at the institution.
He gathered feedback on the available facilities and services, emphasizing the importance of handling every child with love and affection, providing proper care and ensuring overall child welfare.
The Deputy Commissioner issued directions to the concerned officers for maintaining the quality and hygiene of food as well as personal hygiene among the boys. He highlighted the significance of a compassionate environment and instructed staff to ensure the best possible care for the children.
The Deputy Commissioner also conducted a surprise late night visit to the District Hospital Ramban. During the inspection the DC spoke with patients and reviewed the healthcare services being provided to them. He directed the Medical Superintendent to ensure adequate deployment of doctors and paramedical staff with special emphasis on maintaining full staffing levels during night shifts to address patient needs promptly and efficiently.
