RAJOURI, Mar 18: The Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri, Rajesh Kumar Shavan today issued an order for the black-listing of low performing contractors.
Taking serious note of slow pace of works being initiated by some contractors in the district, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Superintending Engineers/ Executive Engineers of PWD, PMGSY and JKPCC agencies to initiate the process of black-listing of contractors having failed to execute works in the stipulated time period.
Official sources said that DC during recent review of works in the district observed that contractors have delayed the works and not put proper men and machinery at the work site, resulting into unreasonable and unjustified delays in breach of the awarded contracts. He also directed that the executing agencies shall forefeit the CDRs and notify the list of the black listed contractors, disqualifying them from the future participation in the process of bids in the district for a period of minimum three years.
