SAMBA, Apr 14: The Deputy Commissioner Samba, Sheetal Nanda today inspected Girdawari of Bara Village of Tehsil Vijaypur.
The Girdawari i.e. the harvest inspections in Samba District is scheduled from April 1, till May 20, 2016. While the patwaries will be conducting the harvest inspections according to the schedule prepared by them. Various officers like D.C., A.D.C, SDMs and Tehsildars have also to conduct inspections of the ongoing girdawari randomly.
The DC interacted with locals and visited few sites for on spot inspection along with them. She also checked many khasra numbers for Girdawari enteries and asked revenue authorities to bring to notice any encroachment they observe and record actual crop existing on ground including Kharaba.
She also directed to make sure that Girdawari Schedule is adhered to and maintenance, preservation and updating of land records is done in accordance with Revenue Acts of the State. The DC was accompanied by Tehsildar Vijaypur Iqbal Singh ,Naib Tehsildar and other revenue functionaries.
