LEH, Sept 27: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Prasanna Ramaswamy G today flagged off a team of 63 Self Help Group (SHG) members of Chuchot block for immersion training under National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) to Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh.
DC while interacting with the SHG members stressed that they have to take the training genuinely and hoped this training will be beneficial for development of communities.
He said that Andhra Pradesh is well developed State through NRLM and we have to observe all the development of that place. The training will help in implementing the Central Government Schemes in the district. DC said that there are many Central Government schemes for the SHGs and after the training the SHG members will be involved in executing such schemes.
Interacting with the Professional Resource Persons (PRP), DC was informed that the training will be conducted by Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP) and the PRPs are working in 6 clusters of 15 panchayat halqas of Chuchot block for two years under NRLM.
Project Director DRDA Tashi Dolma, Assistant Commissioner Development Tsering Paldan, BDO Chuchot Ali Akbar and PRPs were also present on the occasion.
