DC extends help to KV Jourian students

JAMMU, June 23: Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Simrandeep Singh today ordered shifting of senior classes of Kendriya Vidyalaya Jourian to nearby building constructed by Army to provide proper accommodation to the students.
The order has been issued by the Deputy Commissioner in his capacity as Chairman of Kendriya Vidyalaya. This KV is functioning in a community hall and because of space constraints around 80 students are being forced to attend classes under the Sun that too on the roof top of the community hall.
Their miserable condition came to the notice of administration when Minister of State for Education, Priya Sethi along with the then Director School Education Jammu and presently Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Simrandeep Singh paid visit to the area in order to assess the functioning of the State Government schools.
Accordingly, it was decided that necessary steps would be taken to provide adequate space to the students of senior classes of KV so that they can pursue their studies in a comfortable atmosphere.
Now, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Simrandeep Singh has issued order for shifting of senior classes of KV Jourian to nearby building constructed by the Army. This initiative has been widely hailed by the people of the area particularly the parents of the students of senior classes of KV Jourian.
