DODA, Oct 9: District Development Commissioner Harvinder Singh took a detailed review of the progress and implementation status of the Mission YUVA in the district here at a meeting convened the other day.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Roshan Lal; Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhaderwah Sunil Bhutyal; Sub-Divisional Magistrates, the Heads of Government Degree Colleges, Government Polytechnic College, Chief Education officer, Superintendents of ITIs, Nodal Officers of Udyam Jagriti, Zonal Head and Branch Managers of J&K Bank, Block Programme Managers of NRLM and members of Small Business Development Units (SBDU) and Business Help Desks (BHD).
A detailed PowerPoint presentation on the overall progress and performance of Mission YUVA in the district was given by Deputy Director Employment Rafiq Ahmad Jaral, highlighting key achievements, challenges and future strategies.
The DDC laid special emphasis on awareness generation under Udyam Jagriti 4.0 and directed all educational institutions, including Government Degree Colleges, ITIs, Polytechnics and Higher Secondary Schools to organise awareness sessions on Mission YUVA on a regular basis to make the students understand the scheme’s objectives and benefits.
Similarly, the Block Programme Managers from NRLM were instructed to cover all Self Help Group members within a month. The Chief Education Officer was also directed to ensure that awareness sessions are held in Higher Secondary Schools for sensitising future potential entrepreneurs.
Taking a serious note, the Deputy Commissioner directed the banks to expedite the sanctioning and disbursement process and ensure that all pending eligible cases are cleared within two weeks.
He also instructed that information about the hiring of contractual positions under the mission, including posts for SBD & BHD, Motivators and External Trainers, be widely publicised.
These positions, offering attractive honorariums ranging from ₹5,000 to ₹50,000, provide excellent opportunities for eligible youth.
The last date for submission of applications for SBDU and BHD positions is October 11, 2025 and for Motivators, October 18, 2025.
