JAMMU, Mar 17: Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Bansi Lal Bhat today issued show cause notice to Director General Youth Services and Sports to explain why he should not be punished for committing contempt of the court and for the delay in issuing appointment orders in favour of the petitioners.
In the contempt petition filed by Sanjay Gupta and others, Division Bench observed, “order of this court dated 23.04.2001 has not been complied with by the DG”, adding “when the matter was posted on 10.03.2015, counsel appearing on behalf of Director General Youth Services and Sports was directed to produce the appointment orders but the same have not been produced”.
Accordingly, DB directed Director General Youth Services and Sports Department to be present before this Court to show cause as to why he should not be punished for committing contempt of this Court and for the delay in issuing appointment orders.
