JAMMU, July 27: In a LPA filed by Superintending Engineering, working as Commandant 50 BRTF challenging the judgment of writ court whereby his petition was dismissed, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Justice Virender Singh and Justice Mohd Yaqoob Mir has directed maintenance of status-quo with regard to transfer of appellant till final disposal of the main appeal.
After hearing Senior Advocate B S Salathia with Advocate Ashish Sharma and KK Pangotra, ASGI for Union of India and Senior Advocate D S Thakur with Advocate Aruna Thakur, the DB admitted the appeal and observed, “in view of the peculiar facts and circumstances of the case, an effort will be made to dispose of the appeal in the week commencing from August 20, 2012”.
In the meantime, Division Bench issued directions for the maintenance of status-quo with regard to the status of the appellant Mohan Singh Sohal till final disposal of the main appeal.
