JAMMU, Oct 6: Daughter of the soil, Yashmi Choudhary, is in limelight for appearing in many short movies, TV shows and various advertisements at the tender age of only 10.
Yashmi Choudhary inherited acting skills from her father, Amit Choudhary, who was known for writing and producing ‘Maa Ni Mildi’, first tele-film in Dogri released in August 2010. Amit Choudhary was also in the main lead in this tele-film, which was made for State-run Srinagar-Doordarshan, now DD KASHIR and received critical acclaim.
Yashmi, a student of class 5th, originally hails from Vijaypur town of Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir and is presently living in Mumbai with her family. Her mother, Sunita Choudhary is a house wife.
Starting her career about three years back with two short movies— ‘Helpers’ and ‘Mr Clown’, Yashmi is now in limelight in the city of dreams ‘Mumbai’ with many projects in hand. “Mr Clown’ received huge appreciation from the spectators and was selected in about 10 film festivals including Goa International Film Festival.
Yashmi did 1st TV show ‘Suhani Si Ladki’ that used to be telecast on Star Plus. She also acted in renowned family drama of Colours channel ‘Balika Vadhu’. Besides, she also performed in renowned bollywood actor, Anupam Kher’s show ‘Khabon Ki Zami Pe’, which will be telecast soon on ‘Zee Zindagi’.
The little fairy from J&K can also be seen in ‘Bal Krishna’, a running show on Big Magic channel at 6 pm daily. In the show, Yashmi is performing the role of main friend of ‘Radha’. She has also performed in one of the episodes of ‘Saavdhan India’ on ‘Life OK’ channel.
Moreover, the daughter of the soil can be seen in an advertisement of recently launched ‘Fab biscuits’. The advertisement is shown on various TV channels. She can also be seen in various visual advertisements of various brands.
