Darbar to re-open in Srinagar on May 5

JAMMU, Apr 6: All the Move offices in winter capital Jammu shall close on last working day of fourth week of this month and re-open in Srinagar on May 5.
According to a Government order in this regard, the offices observing five-day week, shall close in Jammu on April 24 (Friday) after the office hours while the offices observing six-day week, shall close on April 25 (Saturday) after office hours. All the departments shall ensure that records are packed in boxes after working hours on the last working day, it added.
All the departments shall send their advance parties to Srinagar on April 20. These advance parties, consisting of one Gazetted officer and four to five Non-Gazetted employees, will receive the records in the Summer Capital.
Salary for the month of April 2015, in respect of all the employees working in Moving offices, shall be drawn on April 20, 2015. However, no leave shall be admissible in continuation of move day, except in very exceptional circumstances.
Before closure of the Move offices in Jammu, all the Administrative departments shall detach the staff, if any, attached from the Subordinate offices of Jammu division.
The office timing of the Civil Secretariat and the Heads of departments, located within the Secretariat in Srinagar will be 9.30 a.m to 5 p.m. However, the timing of Move offices, located outside the Secretariat and observing six-day week, shall be 10 a.m to 4 p.m.
The J&K SRTC will make available sufficient number of buses for transportation of the Kashmir based employees  on April 25, 26 and Jammu based employees on May 3 and 4. For shifting the record, the SRTC shall also make available trucks, which  shall leave for Srinagar on April 26, in a convoy. A mobile workshop, one crane, two empty buses and two empty trucks will accompany  the convoy so that employees do not face any inconvenience due to breakdown of the vehicles on the way.
J&K Police shall escort the convoys carrying employees and the records all along the route upto their respective destinations. The Police shall also ensure that the Move convoy is given preference while crossing the Jawahar Tunnel.
Similarly, the Health department shall arrange for medical aid facilities at Jhajjar Kotli, Udhampur, Kud, Patnitop, Ramban, Ramsu, Banihal and Qazigund on the days when the employees travel from Jammu to Srinagar.
