SRINAGAR, Mar 19: Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, today visited Dargah Hazratbal to review arrangements for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr congregation.
She paid obeisance at the shrine and later inspected the preparations being made by the Waqf Board for the large gathering expected on the occasion.
During the visit, Andrabi took stock of facilities along with Waqf officers and staff, and said that all necessary arrangements have been finalised.
She stated that adequate measures, including waterproof facilities for prayers, have been put in place in view of the wet season.
Expressing satisfaction over the preparations, she said the Board has maintained high standards over the past 4 years for Eid congregations.
Extending Eid greetings, Andrabi wished peace, prosperity, and an end to violence across the world.
