DHARAMSHALA, Feb 8: The office of the 14th Dalai Lama, on Sunday described as “false and baseless”, recent media reports and social media posts seeking to link the Tibetan Spiritual leader to the controversial Jeffrey Epstein.
A statement issued by the office of Dalai Lama clarified that His Holiness has never met Jeffrey Epstein and never authorised anyone to meet or interact with him on His behalf.
Terming the reports and online posts misleading, the statement said attempts were being made to create unfounded associations without any factual basis.
The clarification was issued with an appeal to the media and the public to rely on verified information and refrain from spreading unsubstantiated claims. (UNI)
