Srinagar, Apr 15: Lashing out at the Government for supplying spurious drugs, Doctors Association of Kashmir (DAK) today said that it aims at killing the people of the State.
DAK has alleged that drugs that have been declared as fake after analytical reports are continuously being supplied to the Valley. “This all is done under a well-planned conspiracy,” said Nisar-ul-Hassan, DAK President while addressing a press conference.
He said that injection Curecef (Ceftraxone) was declared as fake drug by the analytical report in the year 2011 but the more shocking aspect is that report was not exposed which makes it clear there are criminal intentions of the people involved in this trade.
President DAK also said that there are agencies in various forms which are involved in supplying fake drugs to Kashmir and there are people even from the Government involved in the mafia. “No Minister will take an Ampicillin from Valley hospitals as they know that the drugs supplied here are fake and they will rather take their family members to foreign countries or to the top hospitals in Delhi or other parts of country that is the reason why there has not been any action on this grave issue,” he said.
Dr. Nisar-ul-Hassan said that he himself being a doctor could not trust the medicines available in the hospital and before use, they should be tested.
DAK demanded that all the drugs available in the Government hospitals should be tested before their use and all the members of CPC including the Chairman should resign from their posts and FIR should be lodged against the people involved in the matter. “Not a single member who is directly or indirectly involved in the mafia should be made part of the probing committee,” he added.
