They are demanding a definite regularization policy, release of their pending wages, and implementation of Minimum Wages Act in the Jammu and Kashmir on the pattern of other UTs. They said the UT of Ladakh has already implemented Minimum Wages Act while the UT of J&K has been delaying its implementation.
Speaking on the occasion Sunny Kant Chib said that many times the representations in this regard have been given to the higher authorities in the Government/ UT Administration, but no action has been taken so far. Only false assurances were given to the Samiti members, he added, adding even many times protest dharnas were staged but the officials at the helm of affairs remained unmoved. He warned to intensify their struggle in near future if the Government ignores their issues.
