UDHAMPUR, May 14: Cyber Cell of District Police, Udhampur solved eight online fraud cases, recovered money worth Rs 2.70 lakh and refunded to the victims.
An official spokesman said that the Cyber Cell of Udhampur police received eight complaints regarding the online financial frauds recently .
After receiving these complaints, a team of Cyber Cell, Udhampur immediately swung into action and started the inquiry into the matter and initiated the process for reversal and recovery of the amount. As a result, an amount of Rs 2,70,062 of the total cheated amount has been recovered and credited to the victims’ account.
The police has urged the general public to remain extra vigilant and report promptly to the National Helpline number 1930 or Cyber Cell Udhampur Helpline number 9103996429 if any suspicious call is noticed.
