JAMMU, Jan 18: In a significant achievement, the Cyber Cell DPO Jammu has successfully recovered Rs 6,90,460 from fraudsters involved in multiple cybercrime cases. The unit, known for its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the public, demonstrated swift action and professional excellence in resolving these cases.
The recovered amount pertains to separate complaints where victims were deceived through online trading and investment scams. In two instances, the complainants were duped into investing money via a Telegram page. In other cases, individuals lost their money to a fraudulent gaming app named “Aviator.”
Acting promptly on the complaints, the Cyber Cell Jammu launched immediate investigations. With its skilled and dedicated human resources, the team worked tirelessly to track and recover the lost funds in record time.
The swift resolution has brought much-needed relief to the victims and reaffirmed the Cyber Cell’s effectiveness in tackling online fraud and cybercrime. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to addressing such cases and urged citizens to remain vigilant while engaging in online transactions.
