JAMMU, Jan 15: Consumer Welfare Association, Jammu Division held a meeting under the chairmanship of its President SK Gupta.
In the meeting, President framed core group of CWA which comprise Ram Anand, Rajinder P Kakkar, Som Nath Koul and Chander Parkash Dharmet.
The core group will take up the consumer related problems with the concerned departments.
President also authorized Chander Parkash Dharmet on behalf of the Association to initiate the revival of Prices Review Committee constituted by the Divisional Commissioner Jammu.
The newly form core group will start membership drive and will chalk out programme for AGM.
In the meeting, the price hike of vegetables, fruits, milk products and mutton were discussed and it was decided that the issues will be taken up with the concerned authorities.
President of the Association asked the administration to keep check on deep fry products.
Gupta said that the schools bags of students upto 5th standard are so heavy which is not good for the health of the students and asked the Government to pass the directions to all the educational institutions of the J&K UT for the relief to the students.
The meeting was attended by the office bearers and members of the Association including General Secretary CWA Jammu.
