JAMMU, Aug 19: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Gurmeet Kour Randhawa of Ward number 69 today put the recently completed culverts, lanes and drains to the service of public.
These developmental works were completed with funds worth Rs. 7 lakh and remained the long pending demand of the public of the area.
The Ward residents hailed the efforts of the Councillor in ensuring better amenities for them while the Councillor Randhawa said that she is guided by BJP’s agenda of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’ and ‘Sabka Vishvaas’.
She ensured the Ward residents to leave no stone unturned for development of the Ward and assured them that she has taken the remaining works regarding improvement of the Colony with various departments.
“During first half of the financial year, works worth lakhs have been executed in my Ward. It included work of drains, roads, beautification of parks, tiling, culvert etc,” she maintained adding that steady pace of work was ensured despite lockdowns due to COVID-19.
She also said that she will fulfill every promise she made during her election campaign in phased manner.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Dev Choudhary, Gagan Singh Dutta, Ravi Sharma, Narinder Singh, Jagjeet Singh, Kewal, Parminder Singh, Inderjeet Kour, Mohit, Thoru Ram, Shashi and others.
