Excelsior Correspondent SRINAGAR, Apr 30: An interactive programme with the successful candidates of J&K Civil Services (J) Examination 2023, organised by the Department of Law, School of Legal Studies (SLS), Central University of Kashmir (CU Kashmir) was held here today. The theme of the programme was "J&K Civil Services Judicial Examination: Opportunities and Challenges". The event featured recent qualifiers of the J&K judicial service, who delved into the intricate aspects of the examination, aiming to provide practical knowledge about the judicial examination to the students. In his address, Dean SLS, Prof. Farooq Ahmad Mir, underscored the importance of such programmes and the significance of judicial service examinations. He emphasized that such initiatives serve as invaluable platforms for students to gain theoretical knowledge and grasp the practical intricacies and challenges inherent in pursuing a career in the judiciary. Resource persons including Nahida Mufti, Aarizoo Javaid Rather, Mansoor Ahmad Mir, and Rameen Rashid, who qualified the recently held examination, shared insights into the exam strategies, challenges, and other aspects. They highlighted the importance of reading, emphasising that a deep understanding of legal statutes is foundational for success in the examination and, more importantly, in the practical application of law. They further emphasised the need for aspirants to stay abreast of these changes, adapting their preparation strategies accordingly to remain competitive in an ever-changing environment. The event was convened by Bilal Ahmad Ganai, Assistant Prof., the question-answer session was conducted by Kinjal Bagdi, Assistant Prof and the vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Hilal Ahmad Najar, Academic Coordinator. Assistant Prof. Shahid Ahmad Dar, President of The Law Society, conducted the proceedings.
