CUK announces admission to UG programmes, PhD

GANDERBAL, Jan 13: Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir) has announced admission to its nine undergraduate programmes through CUET UG 2026 and Ph D admission for the Phase-II (session 2025-26) for candidates with fellowships/scholarships for the January 2026 intake.
Common University Entrance Test (CUET (UG) – 2026 will be conducted in 13 mediums across India and abroad for admission to the Undergraduate Programmes for all the Central Universities (CUs) and State/Participating Universities in India for the academic year 2026-27. The examination will be conducted in multiple shifts, depending on the number of candidates and subject choices in CBT mode only.
The programmes offered by the CUKashmir through CUET UG 2026 include B.Sc. Hons/Hons with research in Biotechnology, Zoology, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, B.A. (Hons.) English, B.A. LLB (Hons.), BBA (Hons.) & B.Voc. (Tourism & Hospitality Management). The eligibility of all the programmes offered by the University is available on the University website and also on the NTA portal. The registration process for CUET has started from January 3, 2026, and the last date of registration is January 30, 2026.
CUKashmir has also announced Ph.D. Admission for the Phase-II (session 2025-26) for candidates with fellowships/ scholarships for the January 2026 intake.
The candidates having valid fellowships awarded by UGC/CSIR/ICMR/ICAR/GATE/DBT/DST-INSPIRE OR any other Fellowship/Scholarship (as applicable) are eligible to apply for Ph.D. Admissions in 20 departments, which include Biotechnology, Botany, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Communication & Journalism, Commerce, Economics, Education, English, Information Technology, Law, Management Studies, Mathematics, Physical Education, Physics, Politics & Governance, Religious Studies, Tourism Studies, Urdu & Zoology.
Apart from the above, the candidates who are working in any sponsored projects funded by National/State funding agencies at the Central University of Kashmir are also eligible to apply; however, all such candidates have to qualify for either the NET or its equivalent examination within a stipulated time period, if selected for provisional admission.
