CUJ organizes symposium on teachings of Shankaracharya

JAMMU, Mar 28: The Central University of Jammu organized an illuminating event focused on the timeless teachings of Jagadguru Shankaracharya and their pivotal role in promoting the unity, language, and culture of India.
In this event, spiritual leader, Atal Peethadhishwar Anant Vibhushit Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Rajguru; Swami Vishwatmananda Saraswatiji Maharaj, Shamboo Panchayati Akhara; Parshotam Dadhichi, President, Sanatan Dharma Sabha Jammu and Kashmir were present. Besides, scholars, intellectuals and teachers also came together to delve into the vast ocean of Jagadguru Shankaracharya’s philosophy.
The program was inaugurated in the presence of Vice Chancellor Prof Sanjeev Jain who emphasized on the meaningful application of Adi Shankaracharya’s philosophy in the field of education.
Mahamandaleshwar Rajguru Swami Vishwatamanand Saraswati” illuminated how Shankaracharya’s teachings have significantly contributed to the cultural and spiritual unity of India.
The Mahamandaleshwar explained how Adishakaracharya inspired the young generation to follow the path of contemplation and truth to take his efforts forward. He also threw light on the fact that Adi Shankaracharya’s teachings were full of philosophical ideas and reflected the universality, spiritual awareness, and intellectual rigor of Indian culture.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Sanjeev Jain, in his address, said that Adi Shankrayacharya’s teachings serve as a beacon of light guiding all towards unity, peace, and understanding of Mind, soul and Body. This event is not just a celebration of his philosophy but a call to action for each one of us to embody these principles in our lives, he added.
Prof J N Baliya shared that the Swami has made three foot trips from Kashmir to Kanyakumari to spread the teachings of the Jagadguru Shankaracharya.
