JAMMU, Oct 14: The Canal Road Walkers Welfare Association (CRWWA) organized a vibrant cultural programme, Parivar Milan, at the newly constructed open-air amphitheatre in Bagh-e-Bahu. Set against the scenic backdrop of Tawi River, the evening featured captivating performances by renowned artists from the Vijay Anand Group, including Padma Shri Romalo Ram and his daughter, Saras Bharti.
Over 200 walkers, including men, women and children, attended the event, enjoying music, singing, a light and sound show and a delicious vegetarian dinner.
CRWWA President Prof. M Sadiq Nargal highlighted the association’s mission to foster social interaction and celebrate festivals and national days. He thanked the Department of Floriculture for their support in hosting the event.
A vote of thanks was presented by CRWWA Vice President, with special acknowledgment to governing body members Sandeep Gupta, Sudershan Gupta, Adv. V. K. Sharma, G. R. Malhotra and Rajinder Gupta for their efforts. Gifts were presented to the performers as a token of appreciation.
