NEW DELHI, Feb 4: Crude palm oil futures prices rose by Rs 1.30 to Rs 453 per 10 kg today as speculators created fresh positions on the back of rising spot demand.
A firming trend in the overseas markets also influenced crude palm oil prices at futures trade.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for February delivery up by Rs 1.30, or 0.28 per cent, to Rs 453 per kg, with a trading volume of 195 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in March moved up by Rs 1.20, or 0.26 per cent, to Rs 462.30 per 10 kg, with a business turnover of 287 lots.
Analysts said the rise in crude palm oil prices was mostly supported by rising demand at spot markets and firming global trend.
Meanwhile, palm oil climbed 1.40 per cent to USD 835 a tonne on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange. (PTI)
