Crude palm oil futures remain weak on adequate supply

NEW DELHI, Jan 29: Crude palm oil remained weak for the second straight day and prices fell by another 0.16 per cent to Rs 436.10 per 10 kg in futures trade today owing to slackened demand in the spot market against adequate supplies.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in January shed 70 paise, or 0.16 per cent, to Rs 436.10 per 10 kg in business turnover of 36 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in the February contract weakened by 30 paise, or 0.07 per cent, to Rs 442.60 per 10 kg in 167 lots.
Market analysts said besides adequate supplies, subdued demand in the spot market mainly kept pressure on crude palm oil prices at futures trading. (PTI)
