Crude oil futures down on weak Asian cues

NEW DELHI, July 10: Crude oil futures fell 0.52 per cent to Rs 6,084 per barrel today as speculators trimmed positions amid a weakening trend in Asian trade following a mixed US supply report and easing concerns over tensions in the Middle East.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in July shed Rs 32, or 0.52 per cent, to Rs 6,084 per barrel in 345 lots.
In a likewise manner, oil for August delivery moved down by Rs 26, or 0.43 per cent, to Rs 6,088 per barrel in 23 lots.
The trading sentiment eased at futures trade after crude oil prices fell in Asian trade following a mixed US supply report and easing concerns over tensions in the Middle East, analysts said.
Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude for August delivery declined 31 cents to USD 101.98 while Brent crude dipped 11 cents to USD 108.17 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange in late-morning trade today. (PTI)
