Srinagar, Feb 2: Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has sent 25 boys from South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on national integration tour.
A CRPF spokesman said DIG (Operations) O S Charak of CRPF flagged off the tour from the headquarters of 183 Battalion CRPF in Pulwama. During the event, Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Neeraj Kumar and other senior officers of CRPF were present.
He said the 25 students along with two teachers have been selected from the Rajpora area under the name of “Apna Watan Jano”. “This tour has been organised with a view to promote the national integration and to expose these students to rich historical & cultural heritage of country,” said the spokesman.
During the tour which will conclude on February 8 the group will travel from Srinagar to Delhi by flight, from Delhi to Bhopal by train, Bhopal to Hyderabad by train and from Hyderabad to Delhi by flight and will return to Srinagar by flight after visiting number of historical places besides meeting important personalities, the spokesman added.
