CRPF provides financial assistance to girl for nose surgery

SRINAGAR, Sept 23: Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) provided financial assistance to a 13-year-old girl for her nose surgery.
A CRPF official said a request was received from Ghulam Mohammad, a resident of Wanpora Pulwama, wherein he said that his daughter namely Snober Gul has undergone three surgeries of her nose following flesh outgrowth. “Unfortunately all those surgeries failed to cure the problem,” the official quoted Ghulam Mohammad Bhat as having said to the paramilitary force.
The father of the girl also told the CRPF that the treatment of the disease required huge amount which he cannot afford. “He supports his family members of six young daughters and his wife from the hard-earned money as labourer. He was totally unable to meet the treatment charges due to poor economic condition,” said the CRPF official.
The paramilitary official said that Ghulam Muhammad had heard about CRPF helpline–Madadgar and subsequently contacted over a toll free number 14111.
“On getting the direction from senior CRPF formations, the Commanding Officer of 183 battalion Vinay Anand Prakash got approval from CRPF higher authorities for her better treatment,” he said, adding that the officer coordinated with senior doctors of CRPF as well as of District Hospital Pulwama.
“Further doctors at District Hospital Pulwama referred the case to Florence Hospital Chanapora Srinagar for surgery through a special representative of 183 Battalion CRPF. The CRPF also rendered all financial and possible assistance to Ghulam Mohammad Bhat for better treatment of his daughter Snober Gul,” said the CRPF, adding that she underwent surgery at Florence Hospital and is feeling much better now.
