RAMBAN, Feb 2: The 84th Battalion of CRPF, along with GC CRPF Hiranagar, held a tribute ceremony to honour the sacrifice of Shaheed Constable/Driver Mushtaq Ahmad at Oakfield International School in Parnote, Ramban.
Mushtaq Ahmad, a resident of Parnote Ramban, sacrificed his life while fighting Maoists in Narayanpur, Chhattisgarh, on February 2, 2008, during his service with the 63rd Battalion of CRPF. He is survived by his wife, Veer Naari Rubina Begum, and two sons.
The event saw the participation of nearly 100 people, including Ahmad’s family, relatives, media personnel, and CRPF officers.

Floral tribute were paid to the martyr, and a two-minute silence was observed in his honour.
The 84th Battalion CRPF assured Ahmad’s family of continued support, being the nearest CRPF unit to his hometown.
Ahmad’s family, along with local elders, expressed their gratitude for the tribute ceremony and for recognizing his supreme sacrifice.
