JAMMU, Feb 9: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Bishnah area have arrested a criminal, who was evading his arrest for the past two years in the murder case of one Akshay Kumar, registered at Police Station Ramgarh in Samba district.
On December 25, 2023, around 6 pm, one Akshay Kumar son of Banarasi Dass of Gudwal, Ramgarh, was brutally murdered by a group of people using a country-made pistol and sharp weapons at Gudwal, Ramgarh. Click here to watch video
Four accused persons were arrested by the police in January last year while seizing from their possession two country-made pistols, three magazines, seven live rounds, one toka and one vehicle.
In the recent case, one Surjan Sansi of Rehal, Bishnah, who is a history-sheeter, was arrested by a team of Police Station Bishnah, a police official said.
He will be accordingly produced in the court of law for further legal proceedings, he added.
