SAMBA, Aug 23: Continuing its crackdown against illegal mining, Samba police has seized ten vehicles including seven dumpers in the jurisdiction of Police Stations (PS) Samba, Vijaypur and Ramgarh, which were being used for illegal transportation/ mining of construction material.
Police teams headed by, SHO PS Samba, SHO PS Vijaypur, SHO PS Ramgarh, in charge Police Posts Mansar and Supwal of PS Samba while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional areas, have seized seven dumpers bearing Regd Nos. JK08P-8799, JK02BP-8931, JK02BX-2766, JK14H-8636, JK19-7529, JK21F-5586, JK02CV-5686 and a tractor trolley bearing Regd No JK08B-9542 & two tractor trolleys without Nos. which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of construction material in the area.
All the vehicles have been seized by Samba Police under the overall supervision of SSP Samba, Virinder Manhas and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further legal action.
