DODA, Aug 28: Continuing its crackdown on illegal mining, the Geology and Mining Department today seized four vehicles involved in illegal mining activities, two each in Karara and Thathri areas of Sub-Division Thathri.
District Mining Officer (DMO), Sunil Kumar Manhas under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vishesh Mahajan on strict instructions of SSP Doda, Abdul Qayoom, launched the operation with the cooperation of SHO Thathri, Amit Katoch.
The entire operation was meticulously executed in accordance with the laws outlined in the Mineral Act.
A handout stated that collaborative efforts of law enforcement agencies demonstrate the commitment of authorities towards curbing illegal mining activities and promoting responsible resource management in the district.
