JAMMU, June 25: All J&K Ex-Central Paramilitary Services Welfare Association (CPMF) highlighted problems and difficulties being faced by the association due to the apathy of constitutional rulers at the helm of affairs, who deserted the brave defenders of yesterday for their heavenly living for generation ages.
Addressing a press conference, All India Co-ordination Committee New Delhi, Chairperson retired IG VPS Panwar said “We have knocked every door of every feudal lords but nothing has been done on the ground regarding our issues and demands so far. It has been observed in the past that there is no one on the soil to listen our problems and to take pains to mitigate woes suffered by 15 lakh retired and 75 lakh dependents including Veer Naris”.
He added that the circumstances are compelled to wake up the Central Government constitutional lords for redressal of our demands like revision of Pension Pre and Post 2006 retirees by honoring the apex court decision, One Rank One Pension, ex-servicemen status, martyr status to the soldiers killed in action/on duty, a law based provision should have to be made, equal duty equal wages, enhancement of medical allowance from Rs 500 to Rs 2000 pm, reservation quota for wards and young widows in recruitment, education institutions as well as in the technical institutions upto 10 per cent Central Paramilitary Services cadres promotion is required to be extended upto Director Generals, widow pension to be revised equal to male retirees and other related demands which were not fulfilled by the Central Government so far.
Among others present were Darshan Kumar, RL Dogra, Mohammad Majid, Dalip Singh, Mohinder Singh, Koshal Singh, Gurbachan, Noor Mohammad, Lovely Pandita, Veena and Harinder Kour.
