JAMMU/SRINAGAR, Feb 25: After several days, COVID positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir crossed three-digit mark and stood at 108 while Udhampur district in Jammu division reported fresh surge with 23 cases even as 59 persons recovered from the virus.
Jammu region reported 31 new cases, 23 in Udhampur and eight in Jammu district. Rest eight districts didn’t report any Corona cases.
Eleven persons recovered from the virus including seven in Jammu and four in Udhampur district.
Jammu region now has 51942 Corona cases. Among them, 51024 have recovered and there were 193 active cases and 725 casualties in the region.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 77 fresh cases of COVID-19 .
Those who tested positive in include 47 from Srinagar, 7 Baramulla, 6 Budgam, 3 Pulwama, 2 Kupwara, 4 Anantnag, 1 Bandipora, 2 Ganderbal, 4 Kulgam and 1 from Shopian.
With these fresh cases, the number of positive cases in Kashmir division has reached 74,259 including 72,402 recoveries and 1,230 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 820 including 627 from Kashmir division.
With 59 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 123,426, which is 97.81 percent of the total cases.
