Court’s directive on encroachment of nullah

JAMMU, May 24: In a complaint regarding encroachment of nullah and Government land at Sunjwan, Special Judge Anticorruption, Jammu A K Koul has directed the Deputy Commissioner Jammu to verify the genuineness of the Aks Masavi in the procession of the complainant.
After hearing the complainant DySP Shashi Thakur in person, who alleged encroachment of a nallah by a powerful land mafia with active connivance of revenue officers/officials, the court passed strictures against Deputy Commissioner Jammu and Vigilance Organization.
The court directed that the Aks Masavi produced by the complainant in the open court be forwarded to Deputy Commissioner Jammu and he be asked to verify the genuineness of the same. The Court also directed SSP Vigilance Organization Jammu to explain as to what the enquiry officer has been doing all along and what the Vigilance Organization Jammu proposes to do.
